Jeffrey Zeldman

I remembering reading Jeffrey Zeldman’s “Designing with Web Standards” and being floored. This seminal work on the proper use of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript moved the industry forward at a time when everything was Flash animations, banner ads, and tag salad.

Jeffrey is the co-founder of A List Apart magazine and the Web Standards Project. He founded the design studios Happy Cog and studio.zeldman, and co-founded the A Book Apart imprint and the design conference An Event Apart. He’s the standards champion, The Godfather of web standards, and a foremost advocate for the potential of the web.

Jeffrey has influenced all of us in the design world work through his work and his advocacy. He is a true mensch!

Zeldman’s writings include:

Taking Your Talent to the Web (2001)
Designing with Web Standards (2003, 2007, 2009)
