LOOM-XR is an extended reality startup for augmented/mixed reality experiences. The overall theme of this brand is the superimposition of virtual and spatial information over reality. The name "loom" also relates to the traditional apparatus used to weave cloth and tapestry. With a similar notion, LOOM XR weaves virtuality onto reality. This logo is designed in two parts. The typeface is custom-designed to establish contrast created between the alternating thick and thin letter segments and the separation of the solid white glyphs into the layered primary colours of light, similar to how chromatic aberration occurs at the periphery of optical lenses and a prism refracting light. The pictogram follows the same design principles while conveying the idea of weaving light and forming an "X" as part of an infinity loop, suggesting the infinite potential of virtual worlds.
