Couchsurfing redesign

Couchsurfing in a community of travelers where its objective is to help with free accommodation and exchange cultures between locals and travelers having a more real experience. The company is currently in serious financial trouble thanks to the pandemic.
My theory is that if they update the page and invest in generating a more dynamic and interactive platform where you can share stories, talk with friends and promote the direct connection between travelers and locals with the Hangouts tool, users would see a greater value to the platform and This would see an increase in verifications and interaction on the platform.
