Doula Onboarding

Being a Designer is an act of Public Service.

When I think of the Designer I want to be someday, it is someone who is helping to uplift her community. Building visions for those who are providing their authentic perspective and knowledge.

There are many battles to fight and some seem endless. I believe as a Designer I can help with easing the process of it all.

This was today’s UI challenge I gave myself. On boarding screens for a doula app.

If you did not know, maternal mortality rate is extremely high amongst Black Women. It is scary to know this fact as an Afro-Puerto Rican woman in today’s world. Doula’s amongst other resources are extremely important for us and we need access to more individuals within this field. That was my story behind this design.

One day I plan to create designs that help spread awareness about this fact and so many other things.

This design, although just something from imagination I plan to manifest as a real project someday.

The photos used within my design were provided by Unsplash. Thank you: Sergi Dolcet Escrig, Asso Myron & Eye For Ebony for giving creatives access to your beautiful imagery. I decided to move my design work to @theeartmedium. This page is for personal use and is my outlet for my various forms of art. If you’re looking to connect/discuss anything with me in regards to design, please email me!
