eyeMail - The email client for ALS patients

eyeWriter is a low-cost, open source eye-tracking system that will allow ALS patients to draw using just their eyes, however, it's not without it's flaws.

After testing the device, it was clear that accurately aiming the cursor is very difficult, making everyday websites and apps like Facebook, Twitter and Gmail impossible to use.

In May 2014, on a Hackathon dedicated to developing apps for eyeWriter, eyeMail, this open source email client designed to work with eyeWriter, was born.

I have set up the initial site, that further explains the thinking behind it, here
