Relationships in lockdown: So close, yet so far

I was very much inspired by Morgan Gaynin Painting Ale + Ale " Flowerhead couple surrounded by hummingbirds."
Here through this painting, I am trying to capture the pain of our current society. When we shut the doors of our living spaces, hoping to block out the dreaded virus, we also, unwillingly, locked out our friends, colleagues, and neighbors. While some couples had to invent innovative ways to deal with too much of each other, many had too little of their significant other.
