Vocabulary Building App - concept

An app that helps people discover new words and expand their vocabulary.

To get people started, a test can be given to the user, and their results can be used to assign them a level and personalise the tracks (list of words) suggested to them. This also allows people to try out the app pretty instantly without going through wizards.

The quiz format is the main learning mechanism used in this app. The app can track the words the user sees, and prepare daily quizzes or login-time quizzes to ensure they retain those words.

A very simple gamification feature called "Levels" is included to encourage progress of the user from simpler words, all the way to more complex words.

A friend of mine pointed out that it is easier to learn when a word is put in context. When the user views the word (screen not presented in shot), along with the definition and examples, it is helpful to include reading material that uses the word in context.
