A is for Animal Cookies

A is for Animal Cookies! It’s @36DaysofType time again, and this year we’re headed back to the 90s! The series 90s Nibbles will take you down memory lane to your favorite childhood foods. So get your JNCO’s back out, grab your walkman, and let’s head down to the Blockbuster to get some snacks!

I decided on this subject by mixing two of my favorite series from past years. In 2017 I created 26 Days of Food which was full of yummy edibles, while 2019’s series 90s TOYpography highlighted our favorite 90s toys. So, of course, I had to put them together! Researching these nostalgic foods has really brought me back to the smells and tastes of my childhood. I hope you love these as much I have enjoyed creating them!

I discovered Mother’s animal cookies a little too late, like after childhood late. My family was a Barnum’s animal cracker family. I didn’t have a say in this decision. I mean Barnum’s box handle was really fun (because handles on our crackers are a must) but the Barnum vs Mother’s taste test has a clear winner. If I had known about Mother’s delicious animal cookies, I would have fought for them ferociously at the grocery store, even though my mother would have definitely said “Put them back!”
