Alternative Open Day Poster

This poster was my alternative design for my 'Open Day' project for my 'Typography & Communications 2' module.

In this design I used ‘DDC Hardware’ as the font for my buildings, I chose this typeface as it was more geometric yet also curved on the edges of each letter, I thought that it was a good example of a font that could represent its purpose. I added little details like trees to give it a sense of a sketch, the original trees were grey and round but after getting feedback and advice from peers and friends, it seemed better not to do as the colour of the tree seemed to draw attention away from the actual text. For the text, I also used the font ‘Futura’ so that there was a link between the poster and the university.
