Unused Logo Concept Dentist

An unused Logo Concept Dentist
An unused logo concept, designed for a starting dental practice in the Netherlands.

Behind the concept
The idea behind this concept was to focus on the end-result of a visit to the dentist: a beautiful, happy smile and fresh feeling. Most of us don't particularly like visiting the dentist, but we all like the fresh feeling and being able to show a pretty smile afterwards. With this concept we focused more on the happy aspect of a visit.

The unique composition of the letters in the name made it possible to combine the 'E', 'L' and 'D' into a smiling face quite naturally.

In order to prevent the logo being a bit too much on the happy or even whimsical side, I chose to present the name in caps. A thinner weight of the chosen font, combined with enough space between the letters give the mark a more premium feel.

In the end the concept was dropped because of a change in the name of the practice. The changed name didn't allow the same balance in letters left and right off the 'L', which made the logo feel off.
