Rebirth Of The Cool

For me, the cool is how sound transcends from one soul to another through musical wavelengths not visible to the human eye. It's the universal feeling that despite all of our differences, we are connected through music that transcends time and the human body. The milestone which is "Birth of the Cool" by Miles Davis, truly did give birth to the meaning. To present this classic to a modern audience, the design for "Rebirth of the Cool" features vibrant art inspired by literal "waves" coming out of a trumpet. Traces of reds inspired by the stark black cover of "Birth of the Cool" flourish in the waves which look sliced to represent the ridges of a record.
