A year under Covid-19
This was supposed to be published on march 15th.
A year ago I wasted 3 hours every day commuting to work. I tried to be more productive in less hours at the office, and I had to live with the stress of the 85km drives, the traffic, the cities pollution, etc...
Then Covid-19 happened, and although it brought a lot of negative things, it also came with few good things.
I'm aware that I have a privileged position where I can keep working from home and I have found enough time to do freelance work, too; but what I value the most of this situation is the time I get to have with my family. I can't believe how much I missed just for being in the office.
Now I even have enough time to ride my bike, play the piano again, after almost 10 years (the oboe is still pending), we can also go to the river nearby where nobody is, and all that with the hours I lost coming and going from the city.
Dear home office: Don't ever end.
