Time Selection Animation

It's a concept to solve the conflict of having time selection control on both page level and component/graph level. With a limited screen height, how to translate the time range concept to graph level and let users be able to quickly switch to different time frame, when they scroll away from the top is the challenge.
The transition is providing a visual cue to connect page level and graph level control.
