Daily UI 040 - Recipe

Rather than design a recipe page for a false recipe site, I chose to see if I could improve upon an existing site I often use for recipes. The current site experience suffers from cognitive overload from all the different UI competing for user attention, the layout also isn't the best for following along a recipe, nor does the page feel very coherent as a whole.
To solve for these, I focused on finding a more optimal layout, with a header type section at the top that includes the social elements/quick links important to the site experience, and used elevation to help differentiate the different regions. The choice to focus more on a neutral palette with only use of the app brand color also helps reduce cognitive overload.
