Survived

Survived

Cheers to that little kid
Who thought she had it in her
One day the sky will freeze
Trees would stay still
And she would spurt;

Power in her hands
Snap and things would change
Little did she know
She had it in her
To not let go!

The world was a cruel place
Fate left her side, Lost in the maze
She felt their gaze, No one to guide
Sun out of sight, Stuck too long
She hoped to get on;

Somewhere in between
Grew a little more
Purpose of her life, strive to survive
Cutting corners to patchy wounds
What would she look after
Or turn her back from this clutter?

Caught up in this world she was
Too many signs, So many things to follow
At this point going down seemed easier…

The eyes in the reflection shined
Brighter than the night sky
Hope had travelled through time
The little girl still survived.
