Weirdtober 014/031: Catwoman – “Life’s a Bitch, Now So Am I.”

Trying to find time in the late hours of the night, in-between freelance, work, and life to get back on this. With this one and the Batgirl one, I mean, I feel how much I missed it with how much love I’m putting into the illustrations. 💖
This one was super difficult to choose who to reference – both in comic form and film/tv. I mean, there’s the classics like Eartha Kitt [*my Leo was inspired by her!], Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether – plus Anne Hathaway and upcoming Zoë Kravitz! [Listen, I love Halle Berry and wanted to love that movie…], and then there’s the classic purple/green costume of ‘The Cat’, the fantastic Grey/Black one of the 90s, and all the others in-between. Pretty sure I have an action figure of each one of her decades. But Michelle Pfeiffer *might* be my favorite – I mean, I had to because of the aesthetic and attitude especially. 😾
