Apple Glasses UI Concept

The other day I asked myself what might the future of marketing look like? I came to the realization that augmented reality devices are the focus of many top tech companies. Apple Glasses are one of these devices and so I decided to build a UI for the glasses.

For this design, my goal was to show a hiker off in the mountains, experiencing a beautiful sunrise. I wanted to include features that a hiker would find necessary or useful. Secondly, I wanted to keep the design clean and towards the edges of the frame, because an intrusion of the user's vision could lead to safety concerns.

As you can tell by the clock it is early in the morning and the sun has just begun to rise. I included the sunrise clock because this is something that would be important to photographers and hikers and shows the true customization possibilities of AR products. Next, I included an altimeter to show the height the user is at. Ideally, the glasses would track plenty of other information such as route, pace, steps, etc. but to keep the design clean I left these out. I then included a text message from a friend. Presented like this, texts and other notifications would not be distracting to the wearer and as a result, it minimizes the threat of danger to the user. Lastly, Siri is a must because, without an advanced AI system, AR devices like this would be incredibly difficult to use.

I am in no way affiliated with Apple, this is simply a concept design.
