One of my oldies, but still one of my favourites. Somewhat of a departure for me style wise, as the more illustrative style I tend to leave to other more gifted designers.

However, this one took a tremendous about of time getting the various aspects of the profile: ears, eyes, brow, snout, mouth, tongue, fur, teeth etc just right.

Quite a fine line between being too aggressive or wolf like, or being a little too quirky and/or comical.

It was always planned to be a hybrid of a wolf, and a German Shepherd (actually based on my own Black German Shepherd, Miss Charley), but certainly more dog than wolf.

The various 18 iterations shown are not the entirety of the process, but are more of a highlight from each phase.
