The Dutch Military Aggression II - Book Cover Design

Hi! 👋🏻
Today I wanted to try designing using the golden rule so I try to use it by redesigning a book cover design, inspired by practica entitled "Don Alonso de Suquia" but I'm not just redesigning it, I'm making a new cover from one of Indonesia, my country's historical journey which is about "The Dutch Military Aggression II".

When Mr. Soekarno (Indonesia's first president) asked Mr. Husein Mutahar (one of Mr. Soekarno's trusted aides) to secure the Heritage Flag, but after meeting Mr. Mutahar, Mr. Soekarno was arrested by the Dutch.
When he learned that Mr Soekarno had been arrested, Mr Mutahar felt anxious and confused.
Mr. Mutahar knew that he was also one of the targets of the Dutch.
It was in this urgent situation that finally Mr. Mutahar was forced to tear the Heritage Flag.

A tear in the middle indicates the condition of the flag that was torn up at that time.

Then, the red and white colors symbolize the colors of the Indonesian flag.

I also use the font that is used on the local newspaper at the time to add the historical feel to it.
