Social Learner – the collaborative, community driven LMS

We needed to create an LMS that encouraged interactions between learners to promote social learning and discovery. This is something that needed to be designed and developed from scratch, taking into account the presentation and structure of a lesson to make the UI easy to use whilst also complementing, rather than distracting from, the content.

We designed the Social Learner LMS to promote a collaborative and social approach to learning. Learners can highlight a sentence or paragraph of text, and then comment on their selection to ignite a discussion. The most liked comments receive special placement within the course content, letting other learners contribute to the discussion at the time it becomes most relevant to them.
