Quick redesign for Hardware store

This is a quick ( roughly an hour) redesign of above the fold I did as part of the initial discussions with client to showcase how some of their problems could have been solved.

They had really cluttered site and their customers were getting lost with all the information they had on the homepage (couple of carousels, non labeled icons for product categories, lot of text and there were several prominent elements that were taking the users attention away).

I also focused on the branding to make the site a bit more consistent, I imagined HW store as a place with lot of aisle signes, bold brand names and logos. That is why I selected Protipo as typeface to match this feeling. I have shared this work with the client so they could see some of the potential.
