Starting as a symbolic lights out event in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour is now the world’s largest environmental grassroots movement, inspiring millions of people to take action for our planet each year.

Millions choose to mark Earth Hour by going ‘lights out’ for 60 minutes at 8.30pm – 9:30pm local time, as a symbolic show of solidarity for the planet.
