Brunswick Review - (Not) Predicting The Future

This illustration is from a series created to accompany an article about Singapore’s “cryptic” think tank, which appears in the latest issue of Brunswick Review.

The article is about the Singapore government's team of futurists. They use foresight to anticipate, envision and respond to crisis, developing an anticipatory capacity.

In creating this series, I set out to employ a serious, pattern-like aesthetic, to look systemic. For this particular illustration, I wanted to convey the idea of trying to predict as many possible outcomes as possible, however surreal or unrealistic.
