Matrix Display :: VanMoof :: Exploration

I have been wanting to try out something with the small LED Matrix display of the VanMoof Bikes ever seen I saw them.

They are currently only used for limited signals but I think they have potentials for a number of applications regarding navigation.
The bike already has a built-in GPS, compass and gyroscope, it is only a matter of using the hardware.

Compass Mode:
Is build for a driver who likes to get a general idea of direction on a long trip.

Explorer Mode: (my favourite)
Indicate the general direction toward a point and use an aproximate distance remaining indicator. It is designed for explorers who like to figure out the way of their own to get to a destination.

Navigation Mode:
Acts like your standard phone direction indication, giving you step by step directions to follow.
