Happy Mărțișor Day!

Mărțișor is an old tradition celebrated all over Moldova and Romania every year, on March 1st. There are similar holidays in Bulgaria, Greece and Macedonia. The central piece of this holiday is a red and white string which bears the same name as the holiday itself. It is believed that the person who wears the red and white string would enjoy a prosperous and healthy year.
