Navigating Waters in the United States

Part of an illustration that accompanied an article entitled ‘Navigating the Waters of the United States’ about recent legislation that has reduced safeguards for US waters.

I wanted my illustration to portray how integral these waters are to the lives of all Americans and so I depicted a lively waterway, forming a scene that reveals itself to be an abstract depiction of the American flag.
