Kanaloa branding

Kanaloa is a new beach bar restaurant located in Lindos Rhodes, I had the pleasure of designing the brand. My goal was to fuse traditional Polynesian and Maori culture with modern aesthetic. It had to be something different from the classic Maori/Tiki restaurant aesthetic as this particular culture is not very renowned here in Greece, but the general idea should feel inspired from that culture.

We have the classic Maori face, along with classic Maori shapes used many times in tattoo culture, fused with a clean and thin font, which leads to this funky but elegant result.
