Turns out you don't have to win awards to make money ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've had the opportunity to talk to some recent graduates lately and a lot of them have asked me how to get into awards shows as if it's a prerequisite for gaining clients. Winning awards is cool and by all means you should send your work out, but don't let that stop you from actually creating work. Clients will pay your bills much faster than a trophy.
