PRISMA project was born almost by chance, unexpectedly. It comes from the combination of the names of the two artists and their meanings: Luca (light) and Sand (sand). In fact, glass comes from the combination of silica, or quartzite, and it is nothing more than sand formed by very fine quartz crystals. The crystals heated to high temperature melt and become a pasty substance that cooling down becomes solid, hard and glassy.
The combination of these elements has inevitably led to the definition of prism.

In optics a triangular prism, it is the most known type, although it is not the most used currently. Prisms are used to divide light into its spectral components.
