Listening Is a Superpower Cover Illustration
Geologist Karin Kirk knocked on 916 doors, walked 50 miles, and made over 2500 phone calls over the 2020 election cycle. Talking to voters in deep-red Montana, many of whom are doubtful about climate change, she realizes that bridging the divide takes practice, patience, and a brilliant salesperson's pitch.
Karin sent me a photo she took of Montana's Gallatin Valley, and I adjusted the photo to shades of red and blue to symbolize the political divide over climate action right now, and how Karin's lived experiences knocking on doors can be an inspiration to bridge the divide.
