Between Many Colors book cover

Between Many Colors recounts J.P. Padilla's story, a Puerto Rican girl growing up chained by intergenerational poverty, abuse, and systematic racism in the late 1990's. Born to Fail, she is marked by all the elements needed to repeat the cycle, but she knows there is more to life than her small gray city of Reading, Pennsylvania, and she dares to dream for something more.

In this illustration I drew the author coming to a gray town with her notebook and bringing all her colors.
