Botanical stork
This pandemic has brought us many sad things but, perhaps, among the worst is the situation of the residents of nursing homes and their families. This issue is close to my heart since I have a grandfather with advanced Alzheimer's disease who can hardly communicate with us anymore and the fact of not being able to touch him and be close to him has been very hard and truly sad.
My grandfather's residence is in another city, different from mine, and a few months ago, when we could still go to see him (even if it was several meters away, with a methacrylate between us and with masks that covered half our faces) beautiful storks welcomed us resting on the street lamps near the road. I've never seen so many storks together as on one day I thought we wouldn't see any because it was a very cold day with a heavy rain!
It may seem silly but seeing them was a joyous note on a tough and dark afternoon, so I thought I'd pay them a tribute!
