Logo Design: Tra Sen (Vietnamese Lotus Tea)

Vietnamese lotus tea is green tea infused with the aroma of lotus flower blossoms. It is said that during the Nguyen dynasty, King Tu Duc had his helpers row out to a lotus-growing lake in the royal garden. They would pour a bit of tea into a binded lotus flower and let it dry overnight. The next morning he would have some nice lotus-scented tea! This way of serving the tea is very rare.

With the work I’ve done, I never really got the chance to work on naming and branding — so this is my biggest weakness in terms of design. And so, I created this logo design and 1 cup mockup/design for a imaginary tea company called “Trà Sen”, which specializes in lotus-scented tea. Maybe I’ll flesh this out some more in the future (-:
