This week Rep. Simpson introduced a proposal to remove aging dams in the Pacific Northwest. The Columbia-Snake River basin once had the greatest wild salmon populations in the world, but are now at high risk of extinction. This plan is a chance to recover their numbers as well as honor commitments made with Northwest tribes.
