The Easter Bunny Collection

RESEARCH
I began this clipart set with thoughts about creating a seasonal clipart set, the next one coming up is Easter so I set myself to task of designing a cute kawaii style Easter clipart set. I searched Pinterest and created a Easter moodboard where I saved all things Easter to use for inspiration.

SKETCHES
I started sketching out some rough ideas from the Pinterest inspiration moodboard I created earlier. I drew out some bunnies in different poses, carrots, easter eggs and baby chicks. Once I was happy with the kind of illustrations I was going for, I progressed onto making final lineart drawings in coloured pencil.

COLOURING
For the illustrations, I started out in watercolour paints. I'm normally a coloured pencil artist but I have been experimenting with different mediums. I wanted to create a watercolour texture for these and then digitalise it in Photoshop to further develop it as a digital illustrations that have traditional textures.
After colouring with watercolour paints, I imported them to Adobe Photoshop and continued with the colouring process to make them bright and colourful while still holding that watercolour feeling.

FINALISING
Once I was happy with the colouring process, I cleaned up the images ready for exporting as crisp transparent PNG files and neatly packaged them up into a cute little clip art set.
