bethany logo design

Hi,
I am hoping you can help me come up with a great logo design for a 5k running race I'm throwing in honor of my late wife. Her name was Bethany and she passed away in August 2019 in her sleep from a brain aneurysm at the age of 37. She was beloved by her family (me and my 2 1 year old boys) and a huge community she was a part of that loved to run and do triathlons. The 5k will be a great time to remember her and celebrate her life.

My friend designed the attached icon that I would like to use. I would like to incorporate the words "Miles For Bethany 5k" in some way, but I'm at a loss at what would be best. The "b" icon could even be used for the word "Bethany"...I'm open to suggestions. I would like the colors to be simple, using only one or two (see attached color scheme). I would also like a place in the logo where we could put the year and then update it in years ahead.

Although the loss of Bethany is sad and tragic, I want the logo and event to reflect hope for the future and be inspirational like she was. Thanks for your assistance on this project that is VERY meaningful to me!
