Tribute to Visual Idiot

Today has been a very sad day for me. So sad that it totally stopped me from doing any work.

A very talented designer that I was looking up to, one that I had the honor to collaborate with for a little while, someone who back in the day went by the name of Visual Idiot (real name Charlotte), has passed away. What was even more shocking to find out was that she passed away last year, in April.

Being busy with work and life in general, we often forget to check up with old friends and people we know. Sometimes their inactivity goes unnoticed, especially with all the news popping up every single day on social media.

Visual Idiot was a major inspiration for me 10-13 years ago when I started my journey as a designer and even tho we weren't very close (apart from a brief collaboration on one of her projects, Anchor CMS), I felt the need to pay some tribute (which is not helping much) by devoting a Dribbble shot to her old logo and website background (she used to photoshop animal heads on human bodies to use as avatars). I'm doing this so I can always remember her and how she inspired some of my early work.

Rest in peace, Charlotte!
