Charcoal Head Shot

Although I drew this a few years ago, I still love it so much. This was the piece that made me fall in love with charcoal and medium-colored paper. Starting from a medium color really helped with learning about not only shadows, but with light too, since with most pieces, you're starting with the lightest part of the piece already being the canvas.
