Ray Bradbury - Short Stories
A Sound of Thunder
Another personal project I launched in 2021 is Bradbury (it's a working title). Each week, I read one of Ray Bradbury's short story, pick a sentence from it, and letter it using the mood and style references described in the text. The result appears on my Instagram every Saturday (or Sunday, at least): https://www.instagram.com/kseniasoldatenkova/
A Sound of Thunder starts the project. I bet everyone has studied it at school or, at least, saw the movie (utterly disappointing, btw). Also, there is the 80s (or 90s) series that features it as one episode. "...SAFARIS TO ANY YEAR IN THE PAST..." first appears as a Helvetica poster. In the end, after the time travel safari where everything went wrong, we see the same sales pitch hanging on the wall, now printed in serif.
With all respect to the production team of this show, I think it would rather look something like this.
