Elgoco Logo, Branded Stationery and Webpage Design

This logo was created for the Elgoco design agency - a graphic design and illustration agency based in China. The design needed to combine Chinese and English language elements. Although the logotype has a contemporary look, the color scheme and logo mark are inspired by Chinese painting. The color scheme is derived from the atmospheric effects produced as the black ink fades on the page when mixed with water and the characters for 'design' or 'sheji' - 设计 - have been converted into a modern take on the traditional carved stone seals that Chinese painters use to sign and authenticate their artworks. The logo was used as the basis for other branded elements including a stationery package including letterhead, compliment slip, envelope and business card, as well as an initial concept for the layout and wire frame of the company website.
