Designing for the elderly and their families, my team's research found the need for large buttons, clear CTAs, unambiguous colors, and vertically stacked information, among other design patterns.

Daunted by grid systems and breakpoints at first, I found that great resources (including the article below) and lots of practice make responsive design more approachable.
