Carousel

Today we're extremely proud to launch Carousel, the new gallery from Dropbox. It's the single place to view, curate, and share all the photos & videos both on your phone and in your Dropbox. It's available now for both iPhone and Android.

This is the first step in a new chapter of Dropbox, one where we seek to help people better remember their lives and do work together. With Carousel, you can keep a lifetime of memories in your pocket. Send hundreds of photos and videos in full resolution to your friends with one tap. Keep photos and videos they send you safe forever. Instantly jump back to any moment in your past.

For the past 11 months, @Yi Wei and I have collaborated closely on the design of Carousel for iPhone and Android. It's been an truly rewarding experience, and I'm as proud of how we worked as I am of what we shipped. Several others, including @Tim Van Damme, lent a helping hand or two as we got closer to launch.

We were lucky enough to also work closely with two of our talented illustrators, @Ryan Putnam and @Alice Lee. They drew over 70 amazing illustrations for Carousel's onboarding experience alone. Their work is sprinkled all over delightful blank slates throughout the app, as well as the Carousel website.

We're incredibly excited to launch Carousel to the world, and we can't wait to continue the journey. There's much more to come!
