Overflow’s 2020 Year in Review - Illustration

I had lots of fun designing this hero image for Overflow’s latest 2020 Year in Review article!

The brief I was given to base my idea on was that the Overflow team worked fully remotely for the first time due to the pandemic throughout most of 2020, however they still managed to deliver big projects, such as a Windows version of the tool, new plugins for Figma and Photoshop, and much more. I used bubble-shaped backgrounds to create this feeling of people working each from their own space in parallel, however still overlapping and passing on tasks and deliverables to one another to deliver this concept of continuity, productivity, and collaboration.
