CREA Alcobendas / Mural

Intervention in Sol y Luna Shop as part of CREA Alcobendas project. Madrid.

My intention in this mural is to remind that we must encourage children's creativity. As Albert Einstein once said, "To stimulate creativity, one must develop the childlike inclination for play.” When we are young we are divergent thinkers, capable of producing a range of ideas, freely, generously. Curiosity, not logic and reason, guides our intellectual reflections. But as we grow up we become more rational and we start to lose our ability for divergent thinking, we tend to see mistakes as failures, and all this kills creativity. The good news is that creativity is an innate quality that everyone possesses, so it can never be truly lost. So if you want to be more creative, THINK MORE LIKE A KID. Play, try new things, daydream and make mistakes. Kids are masters of making their own rules, exploring new ideas, and most of all PLAY.
