Saddle Covers - The art of cycling

Last year I participated, together with Elisa Madroñero, in the Rijksstudio Award 2020, a biennial art- and design prize from the Rijksmuseum. With this competition the Rijksmuseum invites everyone to create their own masterpiece inspired by the Rijksmuseum's collection.

Under the concept ‘The art of cycling’ we wanted to create bike saddle covers that put together pieces of art with cycling insights that people can feel identified with. We wanted to play with the beauty of the Rijkmuseum artworks and funny situations that cyclists deal with in their daily rides. We think it is a good memory from Amsterdam as well as a useful creation for local people. Let’s cycle with art!
