Republic Day 2021

On the 72nd #Republicday of #India, we stand in solidarity with #indianfarmers as they continue to fight against unjust laws formulated by the government.

The #agriculture sector employs a whopping 45% of the total Indian #workforce, which equals 146 million (14.6 crores) farmers in India.

Smaller #landholdings due to ultra-rapid #urbanization leading to smaller produce pockets are causing a sharp decline in their income, not to mention a set of laws passed in a hurry, which further strip away their earning #potential.

On this Republic Day, a day that signifies the glory of an individual and independent India, we hope that the collective plight of millions of farmers of this land is resolved at the earliest.
