We've studied that emojis and GIFs are frequently used in person-to-person communication but when you look a bit closer they have different use cases and meanings. Here’s what we found about the use of GIFs between people:

— Compared to emojis, GIFs are more emphatic and can express emotions more precisely;
— People typically send GIFs to close colleagues and friends compared to emojis reaction;
— The most frequently use cases when the user sends GIF-s they've using meanings of "greetings", "congratulations" and "happiness".
