Love Knot

Created this symbol for an annual church event with concepts of unity, strength and growth in mind. While I like the intricacy of this design, it somehow reminded me of Celtic knots. It just didn't have the right feel for the project so I decided to drop it.

And then a while back, I Googled Celtic knots and true enough, they have something similar to this one. These things are called love knots and they symbolize, as you surely have guessed, the love between two people, depicted by intertwined knots. Lovers would exchange these knots the same way couples would exchange wedding rings today.
