Participation Overview - Brain Cancer Project

The Brain Cancer Project is part of Count Me In, a nonprofit organization that brings together patients and researchers as partners to accelerate discoveries in cancer research.

To improve clarity of what study participation entails, I chunked content into steps with action-oriented titles. In addition to steps, I added time estimations and links to preview the type information being asked in each step of the process.
While these improvements would benefit any user, it was important to provide simple, direct messaging to this population, as brain tumors often impact a person's cognition. Being able to know in advance what questions will be asked is also useful in the case of medical history, as you may need to locate documents to answer questions.
