Fish on a Hike

Like most of my personal work I start with a loose idea and let it evolve from there. More often than not it is never as good as how it starts in my brain so being fluid and bendy has been key for my creative sanity. For this piece I sat down with the idea of trees and let it evolved from there. I love overlaying / underlaying hand-painted bits into digital illustrations to give texture and fluidity I can't seem to recreate while working strictly with digital. With that said the digital element allows for an amount of tinkering that I used to only dream of.
